Metallurgy/Chemical Engineering-Asst Corrosion Engineer Needed
* Diploma in metallurgy / chemical engineering
* Experience in engineering in Operation is of added advantage.
Duties
Team up with the team of engineers to Review and verify material specifications and data sheets,specifications for piping pressure retaining components, and provide support to procurement in
Technical evaluations/ qualification of suppliers which includes audits if required, and support in providing expertise in the manufacturing of specific piping components
* Conduct the development of protective coating and specifications for internal and external protection of all equipment, advise on coating application and coating inspection matters, and
controls protective coating specifications, responsible for specification revisions and approval of new additions to the specification
* Conduct audits of the cathodic protection (CP) system to ensure the effective functioning of
the system, and regularly report on the status of the CP system

* Control and maintain a comprehensive database of all corrosion inhibitors used at operating plants, including their location and effectiveness and monitor and report on the effectiveness of
each corrosion inhibitor / system
Salary R22, 500 - R27500 Neg. Base on level of experience.
