Description

SUMMARY:


IT manager will be responsible to ensure the streamlined operation of the IT Department in alignment with
the business objectives of the organization. Coordinate, direct, and design IT-related activities, as well as
provide support for daily operational activities of all users. Will work close with the Director of IT and
Regional/Global Team. The role will be cloud focused.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Managing the end-to-end lifecycle of a cloud environment – designing, building, deploying, and
maintaining cloud solutions on MS Azure.
To identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions.
To help define and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
To Lead IT operational and strategic planning including fostering innovation, planning projects,
and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources.
Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent future problems.
Benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of
the IT infrastructure and IT systems.
Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
Implement IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster
recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.
Develop requests for proposal.
Negotiate and administer vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements.
Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of IT
systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals.
Oversee provision of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services.
Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology
implementations.
Direct research on potential technology solutions in support of procurement efforts.
Support engineering and software development teams throughout project lifecycles.
Manage end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance
with company Policy regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
Perform network and security audits under the direction of the Network Engineer and the Help
desk Supervisor.
Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems on
servers, input/output fleet, and workstations. Escalate incidents as necessary.
Recommend, schedule, and perform software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches,
reconfigurations, and/or purchases.
Create required reports in response to business user needs.
Manage and/or provide guidance to junior members of the team.
Keep current with the latest technologies.
Oversee approved projects.
Practice asset management for IT hardware, software, and equipment.
Manage local IT staffing
