Description
Lead a team of electricians to complete installations, technical support calls, check compliance, and compile technical reports.Conduct site inspections and draw up requirements for the installation of products on the customers site.Assist electrical sub-contractors to install products correctly and commission products following specifications.Assess and maintain existing products or systems.Help to install equipment in a factory environment from time to time.Conduct quality assurance assessments from time to time and report back to the engineering team.Assist customers and subcontractors with technical support queries.Respond to emergency breakdowns onsite.Ensure all documentation and recording of work is completed to a high standard.Skills & Experience: Must be competent in working on electrical systems up to 480VC and 1500Vdc.Minimum of 10 years experience as a maintenance electrician with solar system installation exposure or similar.Must be qualified as an Electrician.Experience working with electrical distribution and control systems up to 480 VAC, 3PH and 1500Vdc.Experience with fault-finding and troubleshooting on existing installations (1-phase and 3-phase AC as well as DC solar systems)Must have experience in a supervisory role.Must be able to complete reports and assess documents in a timely manner.Must be computer literate.Qualification:Minimum N3 electrical engineering qualification required. N4 will be advantageous.PV Green card and 3-phase wiremans license essential. Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered. A Bachelor’s Degree or NQF 7 equivalent in Public Administration/ Management, Monitoring and Evaluation; Information Management,Project Management or other relevant academic qualification;At least 6 years working experience within the broader public sector of which 3 years must be within the Strategy, Planning, Performance Monitoring and Evaluation;Previous experience in developing and implementing strategy is essential;A valid code 08 drivers’ license and own vehicle;Sound track record in managing complex stakeholder relationships and a well-developed lobbying and advocacy skillset;Proven experience in remuneration;Knowledge of research methodologies, data collection, analysis and reporting writing;Knowledge of planning, performance monitoring frameworks, national outcomes, Financial Management of Parliaments and Provincial Legislatures Act (FAMPPLA) /Public Finance Management Act (PFMA); andKnowledge of the development of the strategic plan, annual performance plan and operational plans.
