Technical Writer

Technical Writer required at an Engineering company that design, develop and manufacture electronic devices and electronic detonating equipment for a variety of clients. Proven experience needed in the art of technical writing of complex documentations as well as user friendly manuals. Ability to work at all levels of the organization. Technical writer required with solid skills in document and manual writing and the ability to understand the technical engineering environment.Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills RequirementsTechnical Writing certification or equivalent5 years’ experience in a technical writing roleProficient in Microsoft applications, specifically Word, PowerPoint, Visio CorelDraw or In Design / Photoshop knowledgeAbility to interact with all levels of the organizationAbility to grasp and learn complex software quicklyRequired outputs: Functional:Create user documentation for a variety of material, including how-to guides and instruction manualsWrite technical direction on product announcements, marketing brochures, advertisements, and marketing specificationsMeet with channel representatives, vendors, design engineers and production to establish technical specificationsEnsure that correct drawings, specifications, photographs and product samples are correctly integrate in manuals/ marketing documentation and tenders.Writing done in such a manner that it is easy understood (Clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology)Review published materials and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, and contentSelect photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate materialContinuously proofread for grammar and spelling
