Description
We have an excellent, in office, job opportunity for a mid-weight Marketing Manager to join the team at a student hospitality company based in Stellenbosch. We’re looking for a passionate and talented individual to manage day-to-day marketing efforts across the company. Someone to spearhead the marketing function of the whole company, on all platforms including traditional and digital channels. The successful candidate will be a creative thought partner and play a central role in translating the brand at a national level and meeting business and sales goals. Reporting to the Managing Director, the Marketing Manager will enjoy working in a fast-paced and develop strategic marketing recommendations in line with business goals and be responsible for executing those recommendations across all channels and tactics. This role is suited to an Afrikaans speaker as the company is an Afrikaans environment and although they’ll have no problem with a candidate that speaks another language, you will require a very good understanding of Afrikaans in order to follow. Some travelling will be required as there are buildings and teams in other areas as mentioned, but this will be at the dictated by the type of marketing activations, bearing in mind that the focus is more on digital marketing that traditional marketing. Responsibilities
Manage and execute the central, campus, and digital marketing strategy
Researching and analysing market trends and competitors
Overseeing marketing campaigns
Tracking the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and reporting findings to the executive team
Assist the development of short term and medium-term strategy, innovation, and campaign pipeline for our brands
Manage and work within a marketing budget while providing timely reports
Oversee content creation and implementation – from inception to full delivery across all platforms, including monthly reports and check-ins with a graphic designer
Use social analytics to identify improvements to campaigns and initiatives that will enhance the social reputation and improve markers
Monitor marketing activities using measurement data and analytics to identify improvements
Perform website audit, identify all errors (weekly)
Analyse website traffic - page views, top pages, pages with no traffic etc.
Perform keyword research
Create a content strategy - write instructions for a blog post (1 blog weekly) and marketing content 
Promote blog posts (organic and ads)
Create an email marketing strategy
Create strategy and instructions for lead magnets (e-books, infographics, whitepaper, templates)
Increase conversion rate
