Prime Lending is in the process of establishing a new Financial Services Provider (FSP) and is seeking a suitably qualified Key Individual (KI) to be appointed on a part-time / retainer basis.This is a senior compliance and oversight role in terms of the FAIS Act, suitable for an experienced professional currently acting as (or previously approved as) a Key Individual for one or more FSPs.Key Responsibilities:
Act as the appointed Key Individual for the FSP in terms of FAIS
Provide regulatory and operational oversight of the FSP’s activities
Ensure ongoing compliance with FSCA requirements
Assist during the FSCA license application and review process
Attend audits, inspections, or regulatory engagements if required
Work alongside the appointed compliance officer
Requirements:
FSCA-approved Key Individual or clearly approvable as a KI
Relevant RE examinations completed
Proven industry experience appropriate to FAIS Category I
Strong understanding of FSCA / FAIS regulatory framework
Based in South Africa and available for regulatory interaction
Able to act as KI for an additional FSP (capacity permitting)
Engagement Structure:
Part-time / retainer arrangement
Long-term relationship preferred
Remuneration to be discussed based on experience and scope
