reliable, and compassionate transport for our learners with special educational needs. We are seeking a responsible, patient, and dedicated Bus Driver to join our team.
Appointment Type: School Governing Body (SGB) Paid Position
Start Date: 01 January 2025
Salary; R4000pm
ROLE SUMMARY
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe transportation of learners to and from
school, as well as on authorised school trips. Knowledge of or experience working with learners with
special needs will be a significant advantage. The driver will work closely with school staff to ensure
a supportive, safe, and respectful environment during transit.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Safely transport learners with special educational needs to and from school daily.
• Assist learners during boarding, seating, and securing wheelchairs or mobility devices.
• Ensure vehicle safety, cleanliness, and daily maintenance checks.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, school transport policies, and WCED regulations.
• Maintain accurate trip logs and incident reports as required.
• Communicate respectfully with parents, teachers, and school administration.
• Support the school ethos of care, dignity, and inclusion.
REQUIREMENTS
• Valid Code 10 driver’s licence (Essential)
• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP) (Essential)
• Patience, empathy, and excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions
• Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety checks

• 2x Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Educators
• 1x Severe Intellectual Disability (SID) Educators
Appointment Type: WCED Contract Position
Start Date: 01 January 2025
REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate must have:
• A recognised Degree and/or a 4-year Professional Teaching Qualification
• Candidates with an Advanced Certificate in Barriers to Learning (or an equivalent
qualification) will have a competitive advantage
• Registration with the South African Council for Educators (SACE)
• Experience in teaching learners with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is highly
recommended for ASD posts
• Experience in teaching learners with Severe Intellectual Disability (SID) is highly
recommended for the SID post
• Strong communication, administrative, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans (verbal and written)
• Computer literacy and willingness to integrate technology into teaching
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Plan, prepare, and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual learner needs
• Develop and implement Individual Support Plans (ISPs)
• Assess and monitor learner progress and maintain accurate records
• Create a supportive, structured, and stimulating classroom environment
• Collaborate with therapists, parents, and other stakeholders
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and school development activities
