VACANCY: BUS DRIVER Oasis Special School is a caring and dynamic educational institution committed to providing safe, reliable, and compassionate transport for our learners with special educational needs. We are seeking a responsible, patient, and dedicated Bus Driver to join our team. Appointment Type: School Governing Body (SGB) Paid Position Start Date: 01 January 2025 Salary; R4000pm ROLE SUMMARY The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe transportation of learners to and from school, as well as on authorised school trips. Knowledge of or experience working with learners with special needs will be a significant advantage. The driver will work closely with school staff to ensure a supportive, safe, and respectful environment during transit. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Safely transport learners with special educational needs to and from school daily. • Assist learners during boarding, seating, and securing wheelchairs or mobility devices. • Ensure vehicle safety, cleanliness, and daily maintenance checks. • Adhere to all traffic laws, school transport policies, and WCED regulations. • Maintain accurate trip logs and incident reports as required. • Communicate respectfully with parents, teachers, and school administration. • Support the school ethos of care, dignity, and inclusion.
