Job Title: Security Supervisor Location: Various Sites – Durban, KwaZulu-Natal Company: EThekweni Security Consultants cc Job Type: Full-Time Department: Operations Reports To: Area Manager / Operations Manager Job Overview: EThekweni Security Consultants cc is seeking a reliable and experienced Security Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the daily operations of security personnel on assigned sites. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a hands-on approach, and a solid background in security operations. The Security Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring that client sites are secure, guards are performing effectively, and all security protocols are being followed. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and manage on-site security officers, ensuring adherence to company standards and procedures. Conduct regular site inspections and guard parades to ensure visibility, performance, and compliance. Prepare and submit shift reports, incident reports, and daily activity logs to management. Address and resolve security breaches, incidents, and emergencies promptly and professionally. Liaise with clients and site managers to address concerns and ensure satisfaction with service delivery. Monitor guard attendance, conduct disciplinary actions when necessary, and maintain team morale. Ensure all guards are correctly equipped with uniforms, radios, and other gear. Assist in training and mentoring new security personnel on site-specific duties and procedures. Enforce health and safety regulations and ensure safe working conditions on all sites. Conduct investigations into incidents and produce detailed reports for management and clients. Qualifications & Requirements: Proven experience in a supervisory security role (2+ years preferred). Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations calmly and effectively. Sound knowledge of security protocols, procedures, and relevant legal regulations. Must be able to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays. Valid driver’s license and own transport (advantageous).
