We are looking for an experienced restaurant manager to run a busy restaurant in the Moses Mabhida stadium area of Durban. The candidate needs to have previous experience working in a high pressure environment and must have the capability to oversee the complete running of a restaurant. The key responsibilities are:Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure efficient service delivery.Manage, train, and motivate front-of-house staff.Maintain high customer service standards and manage escalations.Oversee staff scheduling, attendance, and performance.Ensure hygiene, safety, and operational standards are consistently met.Assist with stock control, ordering, and supplier coordination.Conduct cash-ups and manage daily operational controls.Handle opening and closing procedures.Support senior management in implementing service improvements.Monitor service flow and ensure effective floor management.Uphold company policies and operational processes.Ensure smooth communication between kitchen and floor teams.Contribute to a well-organised and professional work environment.The requirements for the role are:Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant management.Excellent communication and customer-handling skills.Strong leadership and people management abilities.Ability to multitask and work under pressure.Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.Reliable transport is essential.Ability to work Monday to Sunday (with 1 day off per week).The salary range is R13k - R17k dependent on experience.Please send cv's to dean@gcshops.co.za
