We run the following courses for small-scale chicken Farmers on Free-Range:Chicken Health Management and VaccinationManagement of of the Small-Scale Chicken farming Unit (The animal husbandry thereof) Incubation and Breeding for the Small-Scale Chicken Farmer.Family or persons from the same business: Principle pays full price (R380). Additional persons half price.The courses are presented on our farm located in Grehenheim Estates on Arabis Road, Pretoria Rural; situated between Pretoria West and Hartbeespoort.Each course starts at 10:00 am and ends at approximately 4:00 pm. We have high quality Australorp day-old to Ready-to-Lay old chickens for sale. We also offer seminars and courses on poultry. View the attached photos of our parent stock, this is what they should look like! The colour should be black with a greenish sheen. The soles of their feet and toe nails must be white. Our poultry are vaccinated against New Castle Disease (NCD) and Infectious Bronchitis (IB). During the rainy (mosquito) season chicks older than 4 weeks are also vaccinated against Fowl Pox (FP). FP is a disease brought in by mosquitoes and, once in a flock, spreads rapidly from bird to bird. Mortality is about 70%.
