A beautiful gold framed Royal Paris vintage needlepoint tapestry of French artist Jean-Baptiste Huet's 'La Laitière' or The Milkmaid.
JB Huet (1745-1811) was an eighteenth-century painter, engraver, and designer best known for his animal, nature, and pastoral scenes in the Rococo manner, influenced by François Boucher.
The large scale [915mm x 760mm] of the tapestry, striking wooden frame and juxtaposition of bright and earthy colors make a statement piece of this needlepoint.
Yarn colors include, but are not limited to, olive, army green, mustard, bright orange, blush pink, raspberry, lavender, and taupe.

The needlepoint tapestry is in an exceptional vintage condition, with all yarn intact. The inner linen mat is in Mint Condition with no discolouration, which is normally typical of such vintage items. The tapestry has vividly striking and unaltered colours.
There are a few tiny imperfections on the frame corners.
