It was a market game changer due to some of the new ideas and manufacturing techniques employed on this guitar for the first time. It was conceived in 1976, first produced in 1977 (not really until 1978) and stayed in production into 1987. Made in the U.S. between 1978 and 1988, the Peavey T-60 was perhaps Peavey's most prominent solidbody guitar made during that era, and the first guitar the brand ever produced. Many believe the T-60 has been grievously overlooked when examining historically great guitars. Though it is heavy (same weight as a G ibson L es Paul), like many Peavey products from this time period, players have found that the tones of these guitars are so unique that it more than makes up for the instrument's mass. This guitar with SERIAL number: 00515693 was produced in 1980 as per Peavey. com's website serial number look-up tool.
