Job Responsibilities:Â Assist with effective management and supervision of the Wastewater Treatment Works to monitoring and control to ensure all contractual obligations are met.Â Liaising with Plant Management to implement guidelines on operational sequences and interpretation of operational procedures/instructions to monitoring and adjustments toÂ process operations.Â Ensure the liquid and solids handling processes continuously working effectively and efficiently that meet operational standards at budgeted costs.Â Conduct daily visual inspections to establish functionality levels of unit processes and components and communicate/consultant with Plant Manager on furtherÂ requirements/instructions.Â Monitor wastewater analysis to determine the plant performance (e.g. COD, ammonia, etc.) and make necessary changes if required to improve operations.Â Analyzing and interpret progress reports, efficiency indications and performance results by establishing the need to investigation or adjustments to the plant and operatingÂ parameters as well as alert Plant management to variables impacting the plant operation.Â Ensure detailed records are kept of all operational activities, incidents, specialÂ procedures/instructions to produce monthly report through co-ordination of remedial, corrective and procedural requirements.Â Updating procedural records and registers of investigations, inspections, plant and system operational performance by maintaining effective administration to meet performance objectives.Â Checking recorded numerical readings from metering devices (e.g. flow meters, etc.) indication flow, levels and outputs. Â Prepare and forward operational performance reports to Plant Management referring toÂ statistical data and qualitative information gathered through investigations and inspections. Â Investigate opportunities to improve operations and minimizes losses by optimization, changes in chemical and material application and process improvements initiatives.Â Manage and provide on-the-job training to team members. Â Assist to manage, maintain and improve the Wastewater Treatment Works within the parameters of the ISO Standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 & 50001), Green Drop systems, OHS Act and Labour Laws, etc. Â Job Requirements:Â Degree / Diploma in Chemical Engineering or relevant equivalent or higher qualification.Â Registered as DWS Class V Process Controller â?? Applications donâ??t meet this requirement will not be considered. Â At least 6 yearsâ?? relevant operating experience in wastewater treatment and MBR plant operations of which minimum of 2 years should be at a supervisory level.
