Reporting to the Senior Engineer, the successful incumbent will be responsible for water infrastructure design, evaluation, and maintenance. Qualifications/Experience:
* Diploma and or BSc /BE Eng in Civil, Mechanical or Agriculture
* 3 - 5 years experience in Civil, Mechanical or Agricultural engineering project implementation
* Experience with irrigation design, dams, road maintenance and construction
* Experience with budget controls, CAPEX projects and contract management
* Certificate in Health & Safety Training
* Valid drivers license
Knowledge:
* Effective planning and control of project implementation within specifications and budgets
* Sound knowledge of construction methodologies
* Must be able to read blueprints and understand all technical aspects of construction
* Computer literate with sound knowledge of Ms office, 3D CAD programs, irrigation software and GIS systems and software
Skills:
* Must be able to identify, implement and maintain Health & Safety procedures in the workshop and construction sites
* Have good analytical skills, be strong leader, motivator, implementer and be able to manage people
* Must b able to take calculated decisions
