Bookkeeping Assistant required at a busy, medium-sized firm.Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:1) Day-to-day recordkeeping of bank transactions for a portfolio of clients2) Capturing of all related sales and expense invoices as required for each client3) Keeping each client in your portfolio in a state of readiness for VAT submissions4) Monitoring information sent by each client and making sure regular reminders are sent to them by email.5) Keeping a very high accuracy rate with allocationsWhat you will need as a potentially successful applicant:1) DEMONSTRABLE experience in bookkeeping to pre-adjustment trial balance - +- 4 to 5 years2) Accounting software experience - Pastel Accounting is preferable (not SAGE online, even though this may become an option later)3) An understanding of how VAT and Income Tax work for businesses.4) A diploma or degree is an advantage, but is NOT a requirement.
