Our company is looking to hiring a MV/LV (Medium Voltage/Low Voltage) Team Leader who will be responsible for supervising electrical installation, maintenance and commissioning teams to ensure that work on power systems including transformers, switchgear and cables completed safely, on time and in compliance with standards. This position involves leading technicians, managing on-site project execution and providing technical expertise for both overhead and underground networks. Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Supervision: Lead, mentor, and train electricians, cable jointers, and technicians. Allocate daily tasks and manage team performance.Technical Operations (MV/LV): Supervise the installation, maintenance, and repair of MV/LV switchgear, transformers, and gensets.Maintenance & Fault Finding: Conduct diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs, including cable faults, on systems up to 11kV/33kV.Project Execution: Oversee site establishment, manage Bills of Materials (BOMs), and ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) acts, risk assessments, and Operating Regulations for High Voltage Systems (ORHVS).Documentation: Maintain accurate service logs, technical reports, and compliance documentation.Required Qualifications & Experience* Minimum of Electrical Engineering National N Diploma or higher Electrical engineering Qualification, * Valid ORHVS Certificate (Module 1-10), * Electrical Trade Test Certificate, * RSA Identity, * Valid Code 10 Driver’s Licence* Experience: 5–7 years of experience in LV/MV installation and maintenance, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.* Knowledge: Deep understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, and OEM specs (e.g., Schneider, Eskom standards).* Skills: Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and using diagnostic tools.
