The successful candidate will provide support to the Melt shop Department situated at Airport Industria branch, Cape Town. Applicants will be required to complete a skills test. Only candidates with an average of 70% pass rate will be invited for a personal interview. (SHIFT POSITION)
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Control the operational procedures of the Casting Machine.Manage quality standards in accordance with set targets and guidelinesControl activities of the senior operators sensibly and ensure that shift runs smoothly.Communicate general incidents (delays, failures, breakouts, etc.) via the correct channels.Identify potential failures, remedied with effective solutions.Ensure down time is used effectivelyOptimize production output by constantly monitoring scada feedback and casting parameters.Perform daily checks and monitoring of continuous billet casting machinery.Ensure smooth operation of billet castingComplete incident reports and submit such to the Supervisor.Investigate incidents and communicate findings and possible solutions timeouslyImplementation and monitoring of Occupational Health and Safety compliance
