Our client currently has an opportunity for a Process Plant Engineer who will be responsible for maintenance management to always ensure availability and safe operation of the Process Plant and Equipment in a cost-effective way.
The successful incumbent will hold a Trade certificate and Government Certificate of Competency (GCC), hold a BSc/BEng/B Tech or NHD in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, have a minimum of 3 years' experience as a GCC Engineer in a mining environment and have a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience on a Crushing and Screening Plant with conveyor systems and automated Stackers/Reclaimers and general associated infrastructure.

Monitor compliance to MHS Act of 1996 and Regulations and, Internal Mine; COP'S, SOP's, Managerial instructions, and other legislative requirements as deemed necessary by the company.
Leads and manages end-to-end detailed analysis of work processes, master data, and organization design to identify inefficiencies in the execution of work to diagnose functional and cross-functional business problems and identify improvement opportunities.
Supports the identification of functional capability gaps and manages required actions to address them to enable functional excellence.
Ensure optimal asset performance within legal requirements and corporate standards.
Continued improvement and enforcement of Engineering Standards.
Planning and execution of cost and Capex expenditures.
Route cause analysis and problem solving.
Ensure satisfied internal and external customers and motivated staff in a safe working environment.
Development and training to support and develop a learning organisation.
Effective utilisation and application of SHE systems and processes and conducting risk assessments for new practices.
Comply with and take cognisance of the risk protocol within all projects.
Participate in incident investigations when required.

Job Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
Trade certificate and Government Certificate of Competency (GCC).
BSc/BEng/B Tech or NHD in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Valid Code 08/EB driver’s license.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a GCC Engineer in a mining environment.
