About the Venue
We are a large, award-winning venue offering event spaces, luxury accommodation and a wellness spa. Our gardens are a key part of the guest experience, and we are looking for an experienced gardener and landscaper who understands the standards required to maintain a high-profile property.
Role Overview
You will be responsible for maintaining and improving the gardens and outdoor spaces across the property. This includes lawn care, irrigation, plant care, pruning, seasonal planting and general upkeep to ensure the venue is always neat, clean and guest-ready.
Key Responsibilities
• Lawn mowing, edging, trimming and garden clean-up
• Planting, pruning, shaping and seasonal flowerbed management
• Monitoring and maintaining irrigation systems
• Keeping pathways and outdoor areas neat and safe
• Caring for and maintaining tools and equipment
• Assisting with outdoor set-ups for events when needed
• Ensuring gardens consistently reflect a professional and welcoming standard
Requirements
• South African citizen with a valid South African ID (this is essential)
• Previous experience as a gardener or landscaper at a large venue, estate, hotel, lodge, or similar property is required
• Strong plant, lawn and landscaping knowledge
• Able to work without constant supervision and take initiative
• Physically fit, reliable, punctual, and takes pride in neat and detailed work
• Applicants without large-venue gardening experience will not be considered
Salary
Starting at R5000 per month.
Salary increase will be discussed based on skill level, experience and performance.
Additional Information
Shortlisted finalists will be required to complete a practical on-site work test before final appointment.
