Responsibilities:
Maintain stock levels by keeping to the minimum stock quantities.

Our client is an innovative manufacturer of retail shop displays and furniture and they are looking to appoint a suitably qualified junior draughtsman to join their team. The primary role of the Draughtsman is to provide working drawings and additional supplementary information to facilitate the design, manufacture and installation of bespoke joinery and metalwork.
Description of duties:
Responsibilities include gathering drawings and specifications, calculating material and setting up production methods.
Preparing, reviewing and redrafting alongside project teams.
Create detailed designs with computer-aided design software.
Assist with Production Planning
Assisting with programming of machines
Ensure regular housekeeping activities are execute and the execution of Standard Operating Procedures.
Ensure efficient loading and unloading of sheet metal parts into and from Bending Machine
Requirements:
Matric / Grade 12.
National certificate OR Diploma in Drafting.
Minimum of 1-3 years’ similar experience as a draughtsman
Joinery / furniture design experience
Valid driver’s license with own transport.
Experience with Solidworks and CAD software
Must have exposure to the following:
Sheet Metal Manufacturing including laser cutting, bending, and welding
Process Design
Been involved in the test phase.
Been involved in the manufacturing phase.

•Managing and overseeing the refrigeration and electrical division of the workshop.
•Act as support to the Production and Project Engineers.
•Assist with Technical design and drawing of all new and/or existing drawings as required in all departments.
•Improve, and develop design of existing processes, production units, machine parts, techniques and/or relevant components of plant machines.
•Assist and support maintenance team with the modification and correct application of mechanical changes to existing machinery.
•Accurate record keeping, issuing, and general control of all drawings at all times.
•Research of current / existing processes, machine parts, machine components, and/or techniques.
•Provide sound advice and support to R&D, Plant and Project engineers at all times.
•Costing, quoting and procurement of projects.
•Liaising with customers and site visits for project scoping and measurements
•Assist with mechanical design, development, review, documentation, and delivery.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for the planning of overall day to day production.
Management of production staff and all other related resources in the manufacturing system.
Develop daily or weekly production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met.
Implement and maintain production processes and procedures that enhances productivity and efficiency.
Enforce regular housekeeping in the production facility.
Determine material, equipment, and labor requirements, prepare status and performance reports, and resolve production issues.
Provide weekly feedback to senior management on the progress of each job and proactively report all issues experienced.
Implement and maintain quality system that enhances and monitor the quality of all products produced.
Assist with administrative related duties to ensure all paperwork for jobs are done.
