Purpose of
the RoleThe Electrician
will be responsible for installing, maintaining, testing, repairing, and
inspecting electrical systems, equipment, and infrastructure in accordance with
applicable legislation, electrical standards, technical specifications, safety
requirements, and company procedures. The role requires a qualified and
trade-tested Electrician with proven technical competence, strong safety
awareness, and the ability to work in workshop, plant, industrial, commercial,
and site-based environments across South Africa.Minimum

Education
Grade 12 or
equivalent qualification advantageous
Experience
Relevant
experience in electrical installation, maintenance, fault finding, repairs,
testing, or industrial electrical work
Key
Responsibilities- Install,
maintain, repair, inspect, and test electrical systems, equipment, machinery,
and infrastructure. - Perform
electrical fault finding, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and corrective
maintenance. - Read and
interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, layouts, and
technical manuals. - Install and
connect electrical wiring, distribution boards, control panels, motors,
lighting systems, switches, isolators, and related components. - Carry out
planned preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs. - Perform
electrical testing using appropriate test instruments and equipment. - Identify
electrical defects, unsafe conditions, equipment failures, and non-compliance
issues. - Ensure all
electrical work is completed in accordance with applicable standards,
regulations, and safety procedures. - Maintain
tools, testing equipment, electrical materials, and work areas in a safe and
orderly condition. - Complete job
cards, inspection records, maintenance reports, timesheets, and other required
documentation accurately. - Assist with
commissioning, installation projects, shutdowns, upgrades, and site-based
electrical work. - Travel to
other provinces for operational, project, maintenance, installation, repair, or
emergency work assignments. - Work with
supervisors, artisans, technicians, assistants, contractors, and client
representatives. - Comply with
company policies, site rules, permit-to-work procedures, and quality
requirementsRequired
