A vacancy exists for a Quality Manager based at Life Beacon Bay Hospital reporting to the Hospital Manager and Regional Manager Exec, Mathews Moavodi. The successful candidate will be the custodian, together with the Hospital Manager/Regional Manager Exec, of the Integrated Quality and Environmental Management system and its effectiveness, and for coordinating quality efforts in support of the hospital management team
· Ensure the hospital quality and environmental sustainability objectives and targets are reviewed annually and aligned to the Group objectives. · Communicate the quality and environmental sustainability targets and focus areas to the hospital management and staff. · Conduct training within the hospital to ensure that management and staff understand the quality and environmental requirements. · Conduct risk assessments on an annual basis, together with HOD’s and Unit managers, in accordance with legal requirements. · Conduct environmental aspect/impact assessment together with the Engineering/Services Manager. · Manage reporting, investigation and close out any quality and environmental incidents and deviations in conjunction with Heads of Departments. · Measure performance against the quality objectives, evaluate the results and take/coordinate corrective action where necessary, together with relevant hospital Heads of Department. · Ensure that quality data is accurately recorded, the statistics analysed and trends and risks identified. · Generate the hospital quality scorecard and monthly quality reports. · Collate presentation and communicate the feedback on quality trends, risks, incidents and corrective action taken at hospital Quality Review Meetings. · Guide the Hospital Manager on safety related issues in order to ensure that the legal requirements are adhered to for staff safety; and that employee injuries and occupational disease are reported. · Coordinate the hospital Health & Safety Committee meetings, and ensure all legal appointments are made and legal requirements adhered to. · Together with the Infection prevention specialist/coordinator ensure that the disposal of waste within the hospital meets quality and environmental regulations and standards. · Manage the hospital Emergency and Disaster Plan and practices. · Monitor and ensure governance of the quality document control process within the hospital. · Participate in the internal and external audit review process, coordinate the corrective action and close out any findings related to quality and environment with the relevant Heads of Department. · Monitor and report on actions taken on trends identified through Patient Experience Management and Customer Relationship management system. · Support and participate in Patient Experience initiatives.

The key job outputs of the function include, but are not limited to:
Carry out machine repairs according to job cards/instructions.
Ensure equipment operational and safe to operate on conclusion of repair. Conduct daily operational checks on all equipment.

Required Education
• Relevant degree/diploma with qualification in Production or Engineering• 8 years Managerial experience in a highly pressured production environment• Computer Literate

Purpose of the Job: Plan, direct and coordinate the operations of the production facility, inclusive of formulating and implementing SOP’s, managing daily operations and full utilisation of plant equipment, raw material as well as people management. In addition to ensure that the plant is maintained in accordance with an approved maintenance programme, including legal and mandatory requirements.
Education, experience and competencies required:• Grade 12 and/or Equivalent.• National Diploma/Degree in Production Management. • At least 5 years’ experience within a Dairy Manufacturing and Packing environment and/or a FMCG/Cold-Chain manufacturing and packing environment.• Fresh Milk, Cheese and Butter experience is a definite advantage.• Valid Driver’s licence, code 08 (EB), without any endorsements.• Proficient in all MS Office applications.• The ability to manage and lead teams towards high-performing production team.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Excellent administrative and organizational skills, including Project Management skills.• Effective communication skills and change management capabilities.• Detailed oriented.
Key Performance Areas: • Ensure optimal production efficiencies and effectiveness by overseeing the Production Team and processes in line with agreed standard operating procedures, food, health and safety requirements, as well as cost and quality requirements.• Ensure cost effective production through planning, organising and managing the function to support optimal production in line with the designed capacity of the plant, agreed budget, resource plans and targets.• Coordinate and control manufacturing processes and the maintenance on the equipment and machinery.• Accountable and responsible for Manufacturing performance and production outputs and efficient material usage.• Capacity and factory planning.• Staff management, including supervision, training and creating a high-performance team.• Cost and budgetary management and control.• Ensure full statutory compliance to all health and safety and food safety requirements, in line with the relevant standards and SOP’s by ensuring training of relevant persons, audits and corrective active of all findings in collaboration with the Compliance team. • In depth knowledge and the assurance of GMP, HACCP, TACCP, FSSC22000, OHS and affiliated legal compliance framework requirements

To effectively implement strategies that will improve & influence the effectiveness with which the EC OSS facilitates the ease of doing business in the Eastern Cape due to co-location of all partners in the same geographical space.
The Key Performance Areas will encompass
Management of the EC OSS• Provide high-end, functional & accessible facility where investors can meet relevant stakeholders to discuss investment opportunities• Act as a knowledge point for technical trade & investment enquiries and industry info sharing• Management of all partners hosted in the centre to ensure effective operation of the centre• Ensure the centre meets its obligations in terms of the MOA entered between the company & DTIC• Provide effective referral support to investors & traders• Implementation of a lead-tracking system to ensure that investors receive quality service
Interdepartmental Relations• Establish and maintain a good relationship with the DTIC & TISA, DEDEAT, CIPC, Dept of Labour, Dept of Home Affairs, SARS, DIRCO, National Regulator for Compulsory Services (NRCS), IDZ, Trade & Investment Agencies & Municipal Investment Agencies• Create and manage relations with international trade & investment agencies• Create and manage relations with embassies & other foreign missions Project Management• Implementing strategies that respond investor needs and build investor confidence• Implementation of an effective investor lead-tracking system that provide guidance & record progress
Facilities Management• Implementing strategies that respond investor needs and build investor confidence• Implementation of an effective investor lead-tracking system that provide guidance & record progress• Management of the centre’s systems • Management of procurement processes at the centre• Hold regular consultation meetings with centre staff• Provide support to tenants

QualificationsBachelors Degree in Commerce/ Economics, Marketing, an MBA is an added advantage.5 Years’ experience at Senior Management Level
