The lodge is on the North Coast of KwaZulu-Natal. This role will support the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing and water systems across lodge infrastructure, guest accommodation, staff facilities, and operational areas.While the primary focus of the role is plumbing and water infrastructure, the successful candidate will also assist with general maintenance tasks across the property under the guidance of the Maintenance Supervisors.Candidate Responsibilities:Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems across lodge buildings and infrastructureDiagnose and repair water leaks, pipe failures, and plumbing faultsInstall and maintain water reticulation systems, valves, and pipe networksMaintain water pumps and water pressure systemsAssist with maintenance of water filtration and purification systemsMaintain geyser installations, hot water systems, and associated plumbing componentsConduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify maintenance requirementsSupport preventative maintenance programs for water infrastructureAssist the maintenance team with general maintenance tasks across the lodge when requiredCarry out general handyman duties including minor building repairs and installationsEnsure plumbing systems operate safely and efficiently to support lodge operationsMaintain tools, equipment, and maintenance materials in good working conditionCore Criteria:Plumbing qualification or formal training (Trade Certificate, N2/N3, or equivalent)Proven practical experience in plumbing installations and maintenanceExperience working with water pumps, valves, and water distribution systemsExperience installing and maintaining geyser systems and hot water supplyAbility to diagnose and repair plumbing faultsBasic knowledge of water system maintenance and safety proceduresValid drivers licenseAbility to work effectively in a remote lodge environmentThis is a live-in position.
