Job PurposeTo ensure that insulation installation activities comply with approved specifications, drawings, client requirements, and relevant industry standards. The Insulation QC Level 2 is responsible for inspections, quality verification, and documentation to ensure workmanship meets contractual and safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesInspect insulation works (hot, cold, acoustic, fireproofing) in accordance with project specifications, procedures, and ITPsVerify correct insulation materials, thicknesses, cladding, banding, and finishesEnsure compliance with approved drawings, method statements, and quality plansConduct visual inspections and dimensional checks before, during, and after installationMonitor workmanship to prevent defects and reworkComplete QC inspection checklists, reports, and turnover dossiersIdentify, record, and follow up on non-conformances (NCRs)Compile punch lists and track close-out of defectsMaintain accurate inspection records and traceability documentationEnsure insulation works comply with relevant standards (e.g. SANS, ASTM, ISO, client specifications)Verify compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirementsLiaise with supervisors, engineers, contractors, and client representativesProvide technical guidance to insulation teamsSupport commissioning and handover activitiesMinimum RequirementsGrade 12 (Matric) or equivalentRecognised Insulation QC / Quality Control qualification (Level 2)Minimum 35 years experience in insulation worksAt least 2 years in a QC/inspection roleExperience with hot, cold, and acoustic insulation systems
