This role is essential to successful tendering and project planning, with a specific focus on utilising CCS Candy estimating software. Working closely with commercial and operational teams, the Estimator will help ensure competitive and profitable submissions by producing Bills of Quantities, evaluating subcontractor pricing, and contributing to risk and value analysis.Key ResponsibilitiesMinimum 510 years experience in cost estimating within the built environmentReview and interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings and specificationsPrepare cost estimates for labour, materials, plant, and equipment across fire protection and construction scopesDevelop and manage Bills of Quantities and estimating schedules using CCS CandyAssess and integrate subcontractor quotations into overall estimatesCollaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement to refine cost assumptionsContribute to risk analysis, value engineering, and cost optimisationPrepare tender documentation and assist with formal submissionsMaintain historical cost data and update pricing databasesAbout You510 years relevant estimating experience in construction or related industriesProven experience using CCS Candy software essentialMatric / Grade 12 essentialDiploma or Degree (BTech/NDip) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or similar preferredStrong numerical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detailAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesEffective communication and strong organisational abilitiesProficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
