Minimum requirements for the role:A tertiary qualification in either chemistry or chemical engineering or environmental science, or a related field is pref but not essential.Previous experience having worked within the water treatment or related industry is essential for the role.Previous experience having worked in a managerial role managing and leading a team of sales and service staff.Demonstrated ability to build, inspire, and lead high-performing teams across functions (sales, operations, service).Proven ability to develop and articulate a clear regional strategy aligned with corporate goals.Strong understanding of industrial market dynamics in Gauteng and broader South Africa.Ability to identify growth opportunities, streamline operations, and enhance market penetration.Demonstrated success in managing multi-disciplinary sales teams and achieving sales targets.Technical knowledge of water treatment processes, chemistry, and equipment (boiler, cooling, wastewater, reverse osmosis, etc.).Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Strategic thinker with analytical and problem-solving capabilities.The candidate must have strong boiler, cooling water and effluent water treatment experience.The successful candidate will be responsible for:Managing and driving a sales and technical team at customer sites within the industrial, mining and related water treatment markets, ensuring that the company achieves the revenue, profitability, and market share objectives aligned with the companys portfolio of water treatment chemistry, design, and equipment offerings.Preparing and achieving regional sales budgets. Job Description: The candidate will be required to ensure technical delivery of projects, including risk and quality management. The candidate should have experience in development of technical documents (reports) for clients throughout various project execution phases (pre-feasibility, feasibility, site assessment, remediation, and decommissioning/closure). The candidate is expected to maintain, build, and further develop client relationships as part of project delivery and business development.
