Classic Loch Fyne 3m dinghy for sale. Hull made from fibreglass. Brian Lello design. Some woodwork restored to a high standard in meranti. Has centre board and rudder, plus new wooden oars and some rigging (pulleys etc). There is an aluminium mast and a sail but these are not original and cannot be used as a sailing rig without modification and a boom. Would make good yacht tender or small recreational fishing boat. Can be transported on a wide roof rack. (Trailer not included and not designed for this boat, but also available for R9900 ono, or R17500 for both. Morwenna recently returned from a successful six year circumnavigation and has now received a make over and full maintenance and she is ready for her next ocean voyages.
She is a 50’ solid monohull ketch with a hull length of 38’ (12 m). She was designed, built and rigged for safety on the KISS principles for relaxed and challenging adventures alike. Built in South Africa beyond her specs for our difficult conditions and launched in 2003.
Inside she is roomy with rustic wooden furnishings, while outside the deck is very safe for work and pleasure and the hull can withstand tough conditions, scrapes and bumps.
Morwenna easily navigates open ocean waters and tight spots with a strong engine that can push her to hull speed, various self-steering methods, and a full set of sails for heavy and light wind conditions, plus spares.
I usually sailed Morwenna solo though sometimes with crew, and we had lots of fun on her and she kept us safe in all conditions.
