* Designs and shapes user-centric products and experiences through application of visual interface design.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
* Matric certificate (or equivalent)
* Degree, diploma or certification in a career-relevant field of study
* 5+ Years experience as a User Experience Designer at a digital product company
* Preference given to candidates showcasing a strong portfolio of user centered design projects
* Background in User Experience Design, Interaction Design and User Interface Design and Brand Design
* Expertise with Sketch, InVision, Adobe (and other design tools)
* Up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends
* Background in working within fast-paced product design teams
* Having worked in a medium to large organisation is a bonus
* Experience in Agile delivery environments
POSITION OUTPUTS
User Interface Design:
* Work within the established processes, tools and delivery standards
* Ability to work quickly and deliver with zero defect
* Interpret data and qualitative feedback
* Leverage assets from a Design System to roll out the features, functionality and communications required
* Proactively ensure continuous delivery of design solutions
* Plan for project deliverables and conduct the relevant design research
* Collaborate with UX Designers, Copywriters and Front-end Developers to help shape the project and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience
* Bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design requirements
* Solve for design roadblocks through rapid design iterations and testing
* Execute all visual design artefacts from concept to final hand-off to engineering
* Create high fidelity user flows, wireframes, storyboards, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
* Present and defend design decisions in key milestone reviews with peers and executive level stakeholders
* Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards
* Organise, facilitate and participate in workshops, brainstorms and creative reviews
* Collaborate with all team members, stakeholders and partners to understand detailed requirements to construct experiences that meet the user needs
* Deliver product excellence
Project Management:
* Completion of tasks and assignments within the agreed time frames
* Track and monitor project progress and completion
* Undertake Contract management in line with Procurement Policies
* Submit regular reports on projects
* Ensure effective implementation of the integrated project management model
* Identify and manage Risks
