Minimum requirements for the role:Only open to Namibian citizens and permanent Namibian residents.A bachelors degree in commerce, business administration, retail management, marketing, operations management, or a related field is preferred.An MBA (Master of Business Administration) or similar advanced degree is highly desirable, as it demonstrates advanced strategic, leadership, and business management expertise.Alternatively, a degree in construction and general management or a related discipline with significant operational management experience will also be considered.Previous senior management experience having worked within the retail, FMCG or the building merchantâ??s industry or related is preferred.Previous knowledge of managing building merchant branches in respect of all business functions is pref.Strong ability to think strategically and align operational goals with overall company objectives.Experience in driving change, process improvements, and tech integration is preferred.Previous experience working in a senior operations role, ideally within a retail or multi- format branch environment.Experience managing regional or branch-level operations is essential.In-depth understanding of operational best practices, budgeting, process optimization, inventory management, and financial oversight.The successful candidate will be responsible for:Driving operational excellence, ensuring the smooth, efficient, and profitable operation of the business at regional and branch levels while maintaining a focus on long-term strategic growth.Ensuring the smooth, efficient, and profitable operation of the business at the regional and branch levels while maintaining a focus on long-term strategic growth.Maintaining focus on improving operational procedures and processes by leveraging strategic insights and technological integration.Providing strategic direction and oversight of operations, focusing on continuous improvement in business processes, customer service, and profitability.Overseeing the implementation of the business plan and ensuring that regional and branch operations align with company objectives.Leading, coaching, and developing regional managers and other key operational staff.
