The Vitara Brezza is turning a year old in South Africa and to celebrate the occasion, Suzuki has released a special S-Edition model.
The compact SUV has become one of the brand's best-selling models, alongside the S-Presso and Swift.
Brendon Carpenter, Brand Marketing Manager of Suzuki Auto South Africa, says: "The Vitara Brezza is one of the pioneers in the compact SUV segment and is one of our most popular models. In the creation of the S-Edition, we used the feedback from our dealers and customers to develop a model that offers the luxuries of the GL model, but which has its own unique visual signature.
Everything remains the same under the bonnet - the range still employs an aspirated 1.5-litre engine with figures of 77kW and 138Nm, mated to either a four-speed automatic or five-speed manual transmission.
Pricing
The special edition model slots between the GL and GLX models in the local line-up and is available with a choice of manual or automatic transmissions. It will have the same creature comforts as the GL model but will offer a host of additional styling accessories as standard.

Suzuki didn't change much on the inside. The only change they've made is replace the standard dashboard and door trim with soft silver highlights called Uber Life Silver. The 7-inch touchscreen remains the same.

The S-Edition comes with a full range of standard luxuries like dual airbags, a touch screen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a reverse camera, steering wheel controls for the Bluetooth phone and audio system, climate control, electric fold-in mirrors, rear parking sensors and driver seat height adjustment.

A five-year or 200 000km mechanical warranty, a six-year unlimited mileage body corrosion warranty, a four-year or 60 000km service plan and a three-year or unlimited mileage roadside assistance plan all come as standard.
