The main purpose of the 3 stage big blue whole house water filter is to deliver clean, clear water to your entire household water supply, producing purified water to every tap and bath in your home without heavy drops in water pressure.



The 3 Stage Big Blue Filter Pressure Performance was designed with your comfort and convenience in mind. It uses large filter cartridges, housings, and fittings whenever possible to ensure your water pressure never falls short and the best water purification possible.



Larger housings mean larger filters, which require less frequent service, which in turn saves you time, money, and inconvenience 1st Stage Filter, multi gradient depth polypropylene sediment filter 5um (micron) , the second stage is a radial flow granular activated coconut shell carbon block filter cartridge for chlorine, chemicals, taste, and odour removal Improved carbon contact time for purer water, Highest grade coconut shell carbon for maximum chemical contaminant removal. The last stage is a 1 micron polypropylene depth filter.



The combination of filters are designed for purity with solids and chemical resistance, four separate filter layers for enhanced filter performance, triple the dirt holding capacity of similar sized cartridges, typical life cycle 6, 12 months depending on usage and sediment quantity.

How does the 3 stage water filter work?



The 3 Stage 20” Big Blue Whole House Water filtration system uses filter cartridge technology to purify water.

The water feed is piped into the 3 stage big blue whole house water filter system, the water flows from the inlet side of the top fixed end of the water filter housing. The filter housing has an inlet and outlet port, this allows for the water to flow in and out.

The water then reaches the bottom chamber which is the movable end of a water filter housing, the water filter cartridge is seated in the centre of the housing creating a seal between the top and bottom parts of the filter housing, this allows the water to only travel through the surface area of the filter cartridge whereby filtration takes place.

The purified water will follow the easiest path through the outlet port of the water filter housing, the stages are connected in series and the water then flows through the inlet of the second stage filter and undergoes the next process of water filtration and so on to the third stage.



A 3 stage whole house water filter system can have many different water filter cartridge configurations, the cartridges can be selected to suit many different water filtration requirements, making it a versatile and economical water purifier.
