POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are looking for newly qualified teachers who are eager to learn, grow, and make a lasting impact on our students’ lives. At Kgololo Academy, you will have the opportunity to develop your teaching practice, be part of a supportive team, and contribute to the academic success of children in a high-potential, low-income community.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERTISE:

• Bachelor’s Degree or PGCE in Education

• Passion for serving students in a community with immense potential

• Strong work ethic with a commitment to being present from 7:15 AM to 3:15 PM daily, and after hours as needed

• Ability to create detailed, meaningful weekly lesson plans

• Fluency in both written and spoken English

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan and teach exciting lessons that help students learn and grow, making sure lessons fit their needs.

• Keep track of students' progress and make adjustments to help them improve.

• Encourage students to work hard, take on challenges, and never give up.

• Create a classroom where all students feel welcomed, respected, and motivated.

• Build strong relationships with students and their families, keeping them informed and involved in their child's learning.

• Organize parent meetings to discuss how students are doing and how we can work together to support them.

• Work with other teachers to plan fun and educational activities that help students learn in different ways.

• Take part in school events and team meetings to help make the school a better place for students.

• Keep learning by joining training and development programs to improve as a teacher.

• Help improve the school’s teaching methods and share ideas to make lessons even better.

• Be a positive role model and show respect, responsibility, and care for the school community.

• Assist with after-school activities and school events to give students a well-rounded experience.
