QA Automation Engineer (.NET / Playwright)

Location: Cape Town (On-site)
Salary: Negotiable (Based on Experience)

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with strong .NET experience to join the team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building robust automated testing frameworks and working closely with developers in an Agile delivery environment.

You will play a key role in ensuring the quality, stability, and reliability of enterprise applications, focusing on automated testing, UI automation, and API testing.

This role suits someone similar to our existing QA engineers who work with Playwright, C#, and modern testing practices.

Methodologies

• CI/CD aligned testing practices

• Test planning and estimation

• Develop and deploy automated test frameworks for web applications

• Build Web UI automation tests using Playwright

• Implement automated API testing using Postman

• Develop data comparison and baseline validation tests

• Create and maintain Azure DevOps Test Suites and Test Cases

• Log, track, and manage Azure DevOps bugs

• Create and execute manual and automated test cases

• Estimate, prioritize, and coordinate testing activities

• Work closely with developers and product teams in an Agile environment

• Maintain and improve automated test scripts in line with best practices

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong experience with Playwright automation

• Experience writing automation scripts using C#

• Experience testing web applications and APIs

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps testing tools

• Experience working in Agile development teams

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ensuring high-quality releases through automated testing

• Improving test coverage across web and API layers

• Supporting development teams by identifying bugs early in the SDLC

• Helping evolve the automation testing strategy for the ACE platform
