Security Guard  Wanted

SALARY: R11K per month cost-to-company

Job Description:

As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of personnel, property, and assets at assigned sites. You will be required to perform a range of security duties, including but not limited to patrolling premises, monitoring surveillance equipment, controlling access points, and responding to incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter and detect unauthorized activity.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms to identify and respond to security threats.
• Control access points by verifying credentials and authorizing entry of authorized personnel.
• Maintain accurate records of security-related incidents and activities.
• Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, including but not limited to fires, medical incidents, and criminal activity.
• Provide assistance and support to employees, visitors, and guests as needed.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and emergency services as required.
• Follow established procedures for the handling of hazardous materials and the enforcement of safety regulations.
• Conduct investigations into security breaches and incidents as directed.
• Report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
• Valid PSIRA (Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority) registration.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a security-related role.
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good physical condition, with the ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods.
