CCTV Operator

Job Overview:

· Geocentric Public Safety, a leading security company, is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented CCTV Operator to join our public safety team.

· The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and analysing our closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems to enhance public safety within the specified areas of responsibility.

· Responsibilities: Monitor CCTV systems to detect and respond to public safety threats or suspicious activities.

· Operate and navigate through multiple cameras and surveillance equipment efficiently.

· Report any incidents, irregularities, or security breaches to the appropriate authorities or designated personnel.

· Maintain accurate records of incidents and actions taken during monitoring shifts.

· Collaborate with public safety ground personnel to coordinate responses to public safety incidents.

· Conduct routine checks and inspections of CCTV equipment to ensure proper functioning.

· Communicate effectively with team members and other relevant departments.

· Stay updated on public safety procedures, protocols, and technological advancements.

Qualifications:

· Valid PSIRA registration; additional certifications in security or surveillance are a plus.

· Proven experience as a CCTV Operator or in a similar role.

· Familiarity with operating and troubleshooting CCTV equipment and systems.

· Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.

· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.

· Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to surveillance operations.
