COMMERCIAL SALES - TZANEEN (Fresh fruit and vegetable exposure)

MAF RODA RSA (PTY) LTD, based in Somerset West, is a subsidiary of the MAF RODA GROUP, specializing in the manufacture, supply, and installation of grading, sorting, and packing equipment and technology for the fruit and vegetable sector.

Following its rapid expansion in South Africa, we are recruiting for a COMMERCIAL SALES to be based in Tzaneen branch of MAF RODA RSA.

Requirements:

- Previous sales experience, preferable in the agricultural sector. (Fresh fruit and vegetable exposure and experience will be advantageous)

- Technical knowledge of machinery, fresh fruit, and vegetable processes. (Packhouse knowledge will be advantageous)

- Good communication skills, feedback, reporting etc.

- Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English).

Computer literate:

- MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excell

- Advanced AutoCAD will be advantageous.

- Must have a valid driver’s licence and a valid or renewable passport.

- Must be willing to travel – mostly in South Africa but international travel will be a requirement from time to time.

Responsibilities/Description

- Commercial & Trade activity within the Fruit & Vegetable Market / Regions of South Africa, mainly in Limpopo, Mpumalanga, and Northwest province. Knowledge of Zimbabwe, Mozambic and Botswana markets will be advantageous.

- Make prospection to extend the MAF RODA footprint and Represent the Company in the area and be able to develop long term Commercial relationships.

- Follow existing customers and minimise Customer Complaints.

- An introduction and training of MAF RODA equipment will be provided.

- Understand and adapt to market needs and knowledge of the farming community and encourage Consumer’s loyalty by proposing Technical Solutions suited to their needs.

- Be able to adapt and propose MAF RODA Technology to suit the exact need of the Customer.

- Working with MAF RODA design department, establish Customer’s needs analysis and propose suitable technical solution and reporting back.

- Present layout solutions to customer with commercial arguments and negotiate a deal.

- Provide detailed and concise Weekly activity & Market reports and reporting progress and deviation analysis through an action plan.

- Based in Tzaneen branch together with technical support and spare stock warehouse.

- Develop and improve internal process and procedures together with the sales team.

Renumeration to be negotiated based on experience.
