External Sales Representative – Plastics Manufacturing

Location: Lenasia, Johannesburg South

Our client, a well-established company in the plastic manufacturing and packaging industry, is seeking an experienced and results-driven External Sales Representative to join their team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business, managing existing client relationships, and driving sales growth across the plastic packaging and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and secure new business opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
• Identify new markets and potential customers.
• Conduct regular client visits and sales presentations.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing, and close sales.
• Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
• Provide excellent customer service and after-sales support.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity.

Minimum Requirements

• 3–5 years' experience as an External Sales Representative in the plastics manufacturing, packaging, or related industrial sector.
• Relevant tertiary qualification.
• Proven B2B sales and business development experience.
• Strong knowledge of plastic packaging and industrial products will be advantageous.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport.
• Contactable references.
• Payslips may be requested during the recruitment process.

Remuneration

Market-related basic salary, negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
