DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES
• Physical inventory counts: Physically counting and categorizing stock items in warehouses, stock rooms, or retail locations.
• Data entry and scanning: Using handheld devices to scan barcodes and enter data into computer systems to update stock numbers.
• Inventory verification: Ensuring the accuracy of stock records by comparing them to physical counts and reporting discrepancies.
• Teamwork: Collaborating with other team members to complete the stocktake quickly and accurately.
• Safety and procedures: Adhering to safety instructions and company procedures throughout the process. Required skills
• Attention to detail: A high level of accuracy is needed to ensure every item is counted correctly.
• Ability to work efficiently: Stocktakers often work in teams to meet deadlines and complete counts before a store opens.
