Semi-Skilled Diesel Mechanic

ONE SKILLED DIESEL MECHANIC

The applicant interested in this position must comply with the following

qualifications / minimum requirements:

To be in charge of a fleet of trucks and vehicles

To perform tasks such as checking the batteries of a vehicle, inspecting parts, adjusting wheels

Inspecting, repairing and maintaining any type of diesel engine

Adjusting equipment to repair or replace defective parts

Diagnosing faults or malfunctions using testing equipment

Cleaning, lubricating and performing maintenance work

Repairing and verifying any transmission, emission control systems

Maintenance of factory machines and equipment

Requirements:

- relevant qualifications

- able to demonstrate good organizational skills, following policies,

procedures and work practices

- independent thinking and having the ability to do job planning

- must be able to work in a team

- must work overtime when required

- must work on public holidays when required

- five years’ experience in the industry

- own transport and cell phone

- strong knowledge of health and safety standards required for the role

- excellent time management skills

- knowledge of basic math and computer skills

Salary will be determined according to experience.

The successful candidate will report to the Workshop Supervisor / Manager.
