The DStv Switch 5-2 is a specialized multiswitch used to connect DStv Explora decoders to satellite dishes with standard Twin or Quad LNBs. It converts universal signals into unicable signals via two dedicated "Unicable" ports (A and B), while providing four standard outputs for older decoders, enabling XtraView and PVR functionality.

Key Features and Technical Details
Input: 4 satellite inputs (labelled H/L, V/L, H/H, V/H) for connection from a twin/quad LNB.
Outputs: 2 Unicable outputs (A and B) for Explora decoders; 4 standard outputs (labelled 14) for older HD PVR or single-view decoders.
Purpose: Essential for bridging older LNB setups with newer, signal-intensive decoders like the Explora.
Indicator: A blue light illuminates when the switch is powered correctly.

Installation Tips
Twin LNB: Connect both cables from the dish into the switch input ports.
Explora Connection: Use a single cable from one of the "Unicable" outputs (A or B) to the Unicable input on the back of the Explora.
XtraView: Allows linking multiple decoders, with the switch managing the necessary signaling.
