A Planner

Company and Job Description:

A wellâ??established construction and mining services operation is seeking an experienced Planner Construction Works to support siteâ??based construction and infrastructure projects.
The role focuses on developing, managing, and controlling construction schedules, ensuring that projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and in line with operational targets. This position appeals to planners who enjoy being handsâ??on, siteâ??focused, and actively involved in project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain construction project schedules
• Establish baseline programmes, milestones, and work sequences
• Monitor construction progress and report on schedule performance
• Identify risks and delays and propose recovery plans
• Update programmes to reflect site conditions and approved changes
• Liaise with project managers, site teams, engineers, and contractors
• Conduct site visits to verify progress and align planning with execution
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports
• Support management decisionâ??making with accurate planning data

Job Experience & Skills Required (Ideal Candidate Profile):

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management
• 37 years planning experience on construction, civil, mining, or infrastructure projects
• Proven experience in siteâ??based construction planning
• Proficiency in planning tools such as:
• • Primavera P6 (preferred)
  • MS Project or similar software
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and resource planning
• Good reporting and analytical skills

Advantageous Experience

• Planning experience within mining or contractorâ??driven environments
• Exposure to civil works, earthworks, bulk material handling, or infrastructure projects
• Experience coordinating planning around plant, equipment, and subcontractors
