The company operates within the open cast mining sector, focusing on fixed and mobile plants. Its operations are located in the Northern Cape region.

The Role: Engineering Foreman (Crushing and Screening)
This role exists to spearhead maintenance operations and lead a team of Artisans to ensure crushing and screening plants operate at peak availability. The position contributes to the business by bridging the gap between maintenance planning and execution while maintaining safety standards. The main focus areas include equipment availability, process integrity, team management, and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize 5 or more years of post-trade experience to lead maintenance operations on fixed and mobile crushing and screening plants.

• Partner with the Planner to schedule resources and perform daily over-inspections of machinery for proactive maintenance.

• Scrutinize downtime data via control room systems to identify root causes and verify the quality of Artisan repairs.

• Manage the job card lifecycle with a 2-day acknowledgement target and monitor oil sampling results.

• Champion workshop discipline, identify Artisan skill gaps, and conduct reviews to eliminate repeat failures.

• Enforce 100% compliance with Mine Health and Safety Act regulations and internal SHE policies.

About You

• 5+ years of post-trade experience.

• 3+ years of specific experience on Crushing and Screening Plants (Fixed and Mobile).

• 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or Foreman capacity.

• Section 13/26 Qualified Artisan with a minimum N3 qualification.

• Valid Drivers License and ability to pass a Red Ticket (Mine Medical) for open-cast environments.

• Willingness to relocate to or currently reside in the Kuruman, Kathu, or Hotazel area.

• Wiremans License (significant advantage).
