Junior Draughtsman

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in creating 2D and 3D mechanical drawings, assemblies, and fabrication details using SolidWorks.
• Modify and update drawings based on redlines, engineering instructions, and site changes.
• Prepare General Arrangement (GA) drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Ensure all drawings comply with internal standards, templates, and ISO 9001:2015 quality requirements.
• Maintain document control through SolidWorks PDM, including revision tracking and drawing accuracy.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and procurement teams to clarify design details.
• Participate in design reviews and resolve minor design queries under supervision.
• Continuously develop SolidWorks proficiency and mechanical system knowledge.

Job Experience & Skills Required / Ideal Candidate Profile

Education:

• National Diploma in Mechanical Draughting or similar draughting qualification.

Experience:

• 13 years' mechanical draughting experience (water/process industry advantageous)
• Solid experience in SolidWorks 3D modelling and drafting.

Skills:

• Understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and fabrication processes.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational ability.
• Good communication skills and ability to work under supervision.
• Willingness to learn and develop professionally.
