Description
Minimum Requirements
- Matric
- Technical certification / Trade Tested (Highly Advantageous)
- Experience working on Fanuc and Siemens control systems
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CNC Setter, Operator, or Programmer with CNC lathe/turning centers
- Set up CNC lathes by mounting, adjusting, and aligning tools, fixtures, and work pieces
- Operate CNC machines efficiently, monitoring performance to identify malfunctions or deviations from specifications
- Inspect machined components using precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, bore gauges) to verify compliance with drawings and tolerances
- Adhere to all company safety standards, guidelines, and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area in accordance with 5S principles
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of G-code and M-code for both Fanuc and Siemens control platforms
- Create simple programs for basic components or operations using available conversational programming features
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T specifications.
- Advanced knowledge of G-code/M-code, with the ability to perform program edits and cycle optimizations
- Skilled in using precision inspection equipment
- Solid understanding of tooling, inserts, and cutting parameters for turning applications
