Semi-Skilled Diesel Mechanic Vacancy

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a competent and reliable Semi-Skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the maintenance, repair, and servicing of diesel engines and related components. This role requires basic mechanical knowledge and a willingness to learn and develop skills in diesel engine repairs.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting diesel engine issues.

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.

• Assist in disassembling and reassembling diesel engines and components.

• Assist in repairing or replacing worn or damaged parts.

• Clean and maintain work areas and equipment.

• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

• Keep accurate records of work performed and parts used.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Some previous experience working with busses is required.

• Basic understanding of mechanical principles and tools.

• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Willingness to learn and develop skills in diesel engine repair.

• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.

• Sober habits

• Able to work long hours

• Possess a valid driver's license.
