Vacancy: Production Team Leader

An industrial textile manufacturing company in Hammarsdale, KwaZulu-Natal is looking for a suitable candidate to join their production department as a first line supervisor. This position is responsible for managing a manufacturing line in one of their factories and is a permanent position.

Applicants must have:

· a minimum of 2 years manufacturing and production supervision experience (preferably in a non-woven textile environment)

· a driver’s license and their own car in order to meet shift requirements

· the ability to work shifts

· familiarity with the 5S system and ISO 9001 and 14001

· the ability to problem solve using root cause analysis

The successful applicant will be responsible for the:

· managing a team of 10 - 20 employees on both day and night shifts

· ensuring finished products meet set quality standards as per the manufacturing specifications

· monitoring of the performance of the production machines and liaising with the maintenance department when necessary

· the safety of the team while on shift including enforcing a 5S methodology, enring adherenace to safety applicable protocols.
