Operations Controller - Cross Border (Clearing & Forwarding)

Independent Freight Forwarder based in Kloof is looking for an Operator, who can open and close a file. Load plans, vehicle utilization, booking trucks etc. Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in clearing and forwarding operations. Proven experience in managing cross-border operations to Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, and the DRC. Strong understanding of SADC regional transport regulations and customs procedures. In-depth knowledge of cross-border documentation (e.g., SAD500, commercial invoices, permits, manifests). Strong understanding of port operations, road freight processes, and transit goods control. Proficient in the use of freight forwarding software (e.g., Cargo Wise, Shipshape, Core Freight) and MS Office. Ability to liaise with customs officials, border agents, and drivers. Familiarity with Incoterms, HS Codes, and customs tariffs. Valid driver’s license. Willingness to be on-call after hours or over weekends when needed.
