Draughtsman (Structural & Mechanical)

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 5 years hands-on draughting experience in a structural engineering environment
• Advanced, practical experience using Autodesk Inventor (non-negotiable), including:
  
  • Frame Generator
  • 3D modelling and assemblies
  • Structural fabrication detailing
  • Manufacturing and workshop drawings
• Proven ability to produce fabrication-ready drawings independently
• Strong understanding of structural steel, platework, and industrial components
• Ability to interpret design inputs and translate them into accurate models and drawings
• Experience working to drawing office standards, revision control, and deadlines

Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate 3D models and detailed structural drawings using Autodesk Inventor
• Prepare workshop and fabrication drawings for issue
• Apply and maintain drawing office standards and revision control
• Support live projects with minimal technical input
• Assist with site measurements and as-built documentation where required

Advantageous (Nice to Have)

• Mechanical draughting exposure
• Experience on industrial and/or mining projects
• Exposure to Autodesk Advanced Steel
• Site measurement and as-built experience
• Basic project scheduling awareness (MS Project advantageous)

Contract & Package

• Fixed-term, project-based contract
