Product Owner

Co-Foundry, a digital product development company based in South Africa with an international footprint, is looking for a dynamic Product Owner to join their team in Cape Town in a hybrid work environment. The company provides solutions to businesses both locally and internationally. They believe in empowering product owners to lead, innovate, and drive projects to success. If you possess a keen understanding of user needs, set clear product roadmaps, and can effectively translate business requirements into actionable tasks, then this role is tailor-made for you. Proficiency in Agile methodologies, Scrum practices, and user-centered design principles are foundational in this position. Experience in working closely with development teams and understanding frameworks such as Laravel, VueJS, and the like, will be advantageous as you'll be bridging the gap between client needs and the technical realization of the product. You will be working with mixed teams over multiple projects at any one point in time. So the ability to handle multiple projects and products is vital to the role. Key Responsibilities: Product Vision & Strategy: Develop and refine the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our web applications in alignment with our clients business goals and user needs. Requirements Management: Gather, analyze, and prioritize detailed requirements from stakeholders and transform them into actionable user stories or product backlog items. Stakeholder Collaboration : Act as the main point of contact between the client, development team, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on product objectives. Backlog Management: Prioritize and refine the product backlog to ensure that the development team always works on the most valuable features. Sprint Planning: Work closely with the development team during sprint planning to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria, ensuring the team understands the scope of work. Feedback Loop : Review deliverables to ensure they align with the product vision and user requirements. Collect feedback from users and stakeholders to inform future iterations. Documentation : Maintain updated product documentation, user stories, and use cases to streamline the development process. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging trends, and technologies to continuously improve the product and development processes. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelors degree in Project Management or related field. (Optional yet highly recommended) Proven experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role in web application development projects. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, especially Scrum. Exceptional communication and presentation skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Trello, or equivalent. Knowledge of UX/UI design principles is a bonus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skill
